We made these delicious biscuits by accident after running out of the ingredients for our usual gingerbread recipe. It’s the perfect dough for rolling, shaping and cutting with babies and toddlers. And it will fill your kitchen with that delicious cinnamon scent! We had lots of fun icing our Halloween Biscuits too, using all the bright, vibrant and spooky colours. So why wait for Christmas? Halloween Biscuits
Halloween wasn’t something I got to celebrate much as a kid. So I love to get involved all the more now that I’m a mum myself. We have been enjoying Halloween crafts, Pumpkin Picking, Halloween Songs, and even Halloween Flashcards! There are so many exciting new words, sounds, colours and emotions to explore. It’s a brilliant time to learn and play with toddlers. What have you been up to this Halloween? Halloween Cinnamon Biscuits to make with your toddler
These biscuits are super easy to make and taste delicious! We used Halloween Cookie Cutters from Amazon to cut out our biscuits. Apart from that, you will need the basic baking equipment listed below.
Equipment:
- Large mixing bowl x 2
- Saucepan
- Wooden spoon
- Spatula
- Scales
- Rolling Pin
- Cookie Cutters
- Baking Tray
- Baking Paper

Halloween Cinnamon Biscuit Recipe (Makes 18 – 24):
ingredients
- 75g butter
- 3 1/2tbsp golden syrup
- 60g demerara sugar
- 175g plain flour
- 1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 3 tsp ground cinnamon
Method:
- Add the butter, syrup and sugar to a pan on a low heat. Keep stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Measure the flour, cinnamon and bicarbonate of soda into a large bowl and mix well.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and combine to form a dough.
- Use your hands to make a ball of dough and place this in the fridge for half an hour.
- Sprinkle some plain flour onto a clean surface and roll the dough out flat.
- Use your Halloween cookie cutters to cut out the biscuit shapes.
- Place the Halloween cinnamon biscuits onto a tray lined with baking paper.
- Bake at 170°C for 10-12min, until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Leave the biscuits to cool then decorate using my perfect icing recipe.
